Until recently, Interstate H-201 was a "secret" designation for most of the Moanalua Freeway. The entire freeway was signed as state route 78, with no visible indication of the Interstate route number. Interstate route signs started showing up on the freeway in July 2004. However, re-signing of the freeway was incomplete as of May 2005, with signs on the westbound freeway and at junctions with the freeway still indicating it was state route 78. See the FAQs for more information.
Route and exit numbers, and names, in (parentheses) may not appear on the exit signs themselves. For example, the actual signs at exit 14 on Interstate H-3 show, for the intersecting Mokapu Saddle Road, its old route number 630, rather than the new official number (65). Most interchange names have two links, with the first link to an interchange diagram graphic (where available), and the second (under the word "interchange") to a zoomable Google Map of the interchange.
